SUMMARY:May Day Rally at the Old Lenawee County Courthouse
DESCRIPTION:This May Day\, we celebrate workers and the labor movement.\nJoin Lenawee Indivisible for music\, chants\, speeches\, giveaways\, and action. #WorkersOverBillionaires \n\nWhere: Old Lenawee County Courthouse\, Adrian\, MI\nDate: Friday\, May 1\, 2025\nTime: 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.\, Friday\, May 1\, 2026\n\nRegister here: https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/940856/ \n\nNationwide Demonstration\nThis event is part of a coordinated national day of action. Amplify the conversation about how this administration has made life harder for middle- and lower-class people.\nNo shopping — This is essential. A national strike will only succeed if significant numbers of us commit. Think of this as a test run before launching a full national strike!\nAttend this rally — Join us at the Old Lenawee County Courthouse and show up for your community.\nDonate to workers — See the “Donate” section below for ways to support migrant workers in our area.\n\n\nOur Demands\n\nPeople Over Billionaires / Tax the Rich: Our families\, not their fortunes\, come first.\nICE Out: No secret army serving authoritarian power.\nExpand democracy\, not corporate power: Defend free and fair elections\, not a rigged disaster.\n\n\nDonate to Support Workers in Our Community\nAt this year’s May Day Rally\, we will be collecting donations for migrant workers in Lenawee County. These workers — many of whom hold H-2A temporary agricultural visas — are facing serious financial hardship. The federal government has proposed lowering their minimum wage by as much as $4.50 an hour. That’s a cut of roughly 25% for the people who do grueling\, essential work that keeps our region’s farms running. \nThe Southeast Michigan Migrant Council has provided the following list of the most-needed items. We invite you to give what you can — even a single donation goes a long way toward supporting these workers and their families. Please ensure that donated items are new and unused. \nHygiene Supplies  \n\nShampoo\nBody Wash\nSoaps & Hand Sanitizers\nRazors\nDeodorants\nFace/Hand Wipes\nBaby Powder\nAloe Vera Gel\nShaving Cream\nToothbrush\nToothpaste\nDental Floss\nAlamactin Cream\nFoot Powder\n\nGeneral Supplies \n\nHats (Boonie\, Ball cap\, Stocking\, Straw\, Headbands)\nGloves\nShirts (Long Sleeve\, Flannels\, Hoodies\, Sweat-Absorbing)\nPants – Jeans\, Sweats\, Utility (M 28–34w\, 28–32l; W petite–10)\nSocks (Long & Short)\nCoats & Jackets (Winter\, Spring/Fall\, Windbreakers)\nCompression Sleeves\nBandanas\nWater Bottles/Mugs/Tumblers (no glass)\nThermals\nLunch Boxes\nLaundry Baskets & Bags\n\nKitchen\, Cooking & Household Supplies \n\nMolcajete\nTortilla Baskets\nAluminum Foil\nFood Storage Bags (Ziplock\, Sandwich)\nCooking Utensils\nDish Soap\nLaundry Detergent\nSponges\nDish Cloths/Wash Cloths\n\nAll donations will be distributed through the Southeast Michigan Migrant Council. SUMMARY:No Kings 3
DESCRIPTION:In America\, we don’t put up with would-be kings. \nLast October\, over 7 million Americans from every state—Republicans\, Democrats\, and independents—stood together in the largest display of unity for constitutional principles in our nation’s history. And our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. \n“NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets\, carried by millions in chants and on posters\, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares\, uniting Americans who believe in the rule of law\, not the rule of one person. \nNo president—regardless of party—should be above the law. Our founders fought a revolution to escape tyranny and ensure no single ruler could operate without accountability. That principle isn’t liberal or conservative—it’s American. When corruption goes unchecked and power becomes concentrated\, we all lose. \nJoin us to defend the Constitution and the checks and balances that protect us all. \n📍 Where: Comstock Park\, Adrian\, MI\n📅 When: 11 AM to 1 PM\, March 28\, 2025 \nRegister on Mobilize here: https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/900930/ \nPeaceful\, Nonpartisan\, Pro-Democracy Rally\nA core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. SUMMARY:Rapid Response Protest: Military Overreach & ICE Violence
DESCRIPTION:Come make your voices heard regarding military overreach in Venezuela\, violence by ICE agents in our neighborhoods\, and the threats of more to come. Congress must hold this regime accountable\, and we need to demand they take action!\n\n\n\n\nAt this writing\, we will have to remain on the sidewalks; the courthouse lawn is being cleared of holiday items. \nWe are angry. We are upset. But above all else\, we must remain nonviolent. \nRegister on Mobilize Now

SUMMARY:Fight The Trump Takeover Rally in Ann Arbor
DESCRIPTION:The Texas House Democrats are denying quorum to stop the Trump takeover of Texas and block his attempt to rig the 2026 midterm elections. But Trump isn’t stopping in Texas. He’s targeting Missouri\, Ohio\, Florida\, and every state he can twist to help him steal Congress next year. States like California and New York are starting to fight back. \nLet’s be clear: this fight started in Texas\, but it doesn’t end there. This isn’t just about redistricting or one state’s politics. It’s about the future of our democracy. Trump is terrified of the American people. He knows he can’t win on his ideas\, so he’s trying to take Congress by hook or by crook–and he’s doing it by silencing the voices of communities of color. We’re not going to let that happen. \nThat’s why we’re organizing a National Day of Action\, on Saturday\, August 16\, to fight back against the Trump takeover of our country. \nTexas will lead with an anchor rally at the Capitol in Austin. Across the country\, we’re asking people to show up at their state houses\, city halls\, or community spaces and make it clear — we see what Trump is doing\, and we won’t stand for it. \nPlease note: A core principle behind our Fight the Trump Takeover actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. \nAccessibility \nThis event meets ADA standards: \n\nAccessible restrooms\nDedicated parking spots\nMainly flat ground\nNo stairs or steps\nWheelchair ramp\n\nNotes from the organizer: There are no hills or steps from the parking lots to the corner. \nRegister on Mobilize: https://www.mobilize.us/fightthetrumptakeover/event/827584/

They stood up to ensure this country remains a government of the people\, by the people\, for the people—not a monarchy. \nBy being brave now\, we can keep America free for generations to come. \nWhat to Expect:\n🎤 Veterans and local speakers🎶 Inspiring music🇺🇸 American flags everywhere✊ Hundreds of voices\, one powerful message:  \nNO THRONES. NO CROWNS. NO KINGS. \nLet’s wear red\, white\, and blue—and reclaim the flag for democracy. \n\nProtest Sign Ideas\nBring a sign that highlights an important local issue.
