DESCRIPTION:Lenawee Indivisible is marching in the biggest parade of the year—and we need YOU with us. \nWe were 700+ strong at No Kings—now let’s be the biggest and boldest group in the Lenawee County Fair Parade. \nThis is a joyful\, high-visibility way to spread our message\, have fun\, and let folks know: if you believe in liberty and justice for all\, you’re not alone. \nWhether you walk\, ride\, wave\, decorate\, or donate candy\, you’re part of what makes this happen! \n\n🙌 How You Can Help\n\nWalk or ride the parade route and hand out candy and flower seeds\nRecruit friends\, family\, and neighbors to walk with us!\nVolunteer to decorate our float on Sunday morning\nDonate wrapped candy for the crowd\nDrive your truck + trailer in the parade\n\nURGENT: Do you have access to a large-capacity vehicle (truck + trailer)? This is our biggest need—many participants can’t walk the whole route. One LI member has offered a Mustang convertible for the parade\, but a truck and trailer would make a huge difference! \n✅ One of our amazing volunteers has offered their truck and trailer for the parade. That spirit is at the heart of everything we do. \n\n👕 What to Wear:\n\nRed\, white\, and blue\nLenawee Indivisible T-shirts\nPatriotic or military garb\n\n\n🕘 Schedule:\n\n9:30 a.m. – Meet nearby to decorate\nDrive to lineup spot (on College or Michigan Avenues)\nBreak (bathroom/snack)\n12:45 p.m. – Walkers join the group\n1:00 p.m. – Parade begins\n~2:15 p.m. – End at the Fairgrounds(Get pre-arranged rides back to the staging area)\n\nParade route starts at Thee Old Mill on College Ave → proceeds down E. Maumee → ends at the Fairgrounds entrance on E. Dean St. Although GPS says it’s a 35-minute walk\, parades move sloooowly. \n\n📌 Important Notes from the Parade Organizers:\n\nNo pre-registration required to walk—just show up!\nWalkers must keep moving—no stopping to perform or chat\nNo candy throwing—handouts must be given curbside by walkers\n\n \n\n💬 Why Visibility Matters:\n\nMany people feel uneasy about the country’s direction—and are looking for a way to get involved. This is our chance to show them we’re joyful\, organized\, and patriotic.\nOur pro-democracy message appeals across party lines and matches this year’s fair theme: “Stars\, Stripes\, and Summer Nights.”\nIndivisible gets results—from 700+ here in Lenawee to 5 million nationally during No Kings!\n\nWhen people see our joyful\, united crowd standing up for democracy\, they’ll remember.
