Our demonstration will call out the authoritarian actions of Donald Trump and honor the sacrifices of veterans who fought to protect our democracy. They stood up to ensure this country remains a government of the people, by the people, for the people—not a monarchy.

By being brave now, we can keep America free for generations to come.

Protest Sign Ideas

Bring a sign that highlights an important local issue. Here are a few ideas:

• Support our veterans
• No kings (tyranny)
• Save Medicaid & Medicare
• Save SNAP/Meals on Wheels
• Tariffs hurt small businesses
• Support public schools
• Help our farmers
• Protect reproductive rights
• Ethical immigration reform

Avoid any signs that could be construed as supporting violence.

Why We’re Here

A key goal of this demonstration is to grow our movement in Lenawee County. Many in our community may have supported Trump in the past—but they might not realize what his administration is actually doing.

Let’s raise awareness, break through the noise, and help our neighbors see the truth. Together, we can make a difference.

Important Notes on Safety

A core principle of all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to help de-escalate any potential confrontations and to act lawfully at all times. Weapons of any kind are not allowed at No Kings events.

Please follow all traffic and parking laws. Do not block sidewalks, driveways, or streets, and avoid standing close to the curb.

Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water if it’s hot—we want everyone to stay safe and comfortable.
