Located just across the county line, our newly-organized neighbors, Manchester Voices Indivisible, are making their debut with an exciting event: an Earth Day celebration at Watkins Lake State Park & County Preserve. And Lenawee Indivisible has been invited to join the adventure—a festive start to future collaborations.

So grab your curiosity, your hiking boots, and your passion for the great outdoors!

🌿 Morning Fun: Earth Day Play

10 a.m.–Noon

Come with kids of all ages for a laid-back morning of:

🖍️ Nature-based table activities
🥾 45-minute guided nature walk (begins at 10:30 a.m.)
🏃‍♀️ Space to roam, run, and play in the big field

Bring a bag lunch if you’d like to picnic. Seniors are encouraged to join—it’s a great way to connect across generations.


🌄 Evening Magic: Sunset Walk

7 p.m.–Sunset

Return at golden hour for a peaceful evening celebration:

🦌 Observe wildlife with the help of local naturalists
🎤 Hear reflections from special guests
🌅 At approximately 7:30 p.m., a surprise guest will guide a short hike to a stunning hilltop for one of the best sunset views in Jackson County.

Please Note:

  • Bring your own chair(s).
  • Gathering spaces are wheelchair accessible (gravel and earthen path).
  • The nature walk and sunset hike are not wheelchair accessible.
  • Recreation Passports are required on license plates for vehicle entry (day passes are available on-site).
  • Parking access is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
