Located just across the county line, our newly-organized neighbors, Manchester Voices Indivisible, are making their debut with an exciting event: an Earth Day celebration at Watkins Lake State Park & County Preserve. And Lenawee Indivisible has been invited to join the adventure—a festive start to future collaborations.

🌿 Morning Fun: Earth Day Play
10 a.m.–Noon
Come with kids of all ages for a laid-back morning of:
🖍️ Nature-based table activities
🥾 45-minute guided nature walk (begins at 10:30 a.m.)
🏃♀️ Space to roam, run, and play in the big field
Bring a bag lunch if you’d like to picnic. Seniors are encouraged to join—it’s a great way to connect across generations.
🌄 Evening Magic: Sunset Walk
7 p.m.–Sunset
Return at golden hour for a peaceful evening celebration:
🦌 Observe wildlife with the help of local naturalists
🎤 Hear reflections from special guests
🌅 At approximately 7:30 p.m., a surprise guest will guide a short hike to a stunning hilltop for one of the best sunset views in Jackson County.
Please Note:
- Bring your own chair(s).
- Gathering spaces are wheelchair accessible (gravel and earthen path).
- The nature walk and sunset hike are not wheelchair accessible.
- Recreation Passports are required on license plates for vehicle entry (day passes are available on-site).
- Parking access is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
