Lenawee Indivisible is a passionate, volunteer-powered organization committed to creating meaningful change. We are a chapter of the national Indivisible Movement.

Located within Michigan’s 5th Congressional District, our efforts focus on:

  • Volunteering within the community
  • Organizing and attending demonstrations
  • Coordinating letter-writing campaigns
  • Developing and distributing educational materials
  • Engaging with our elected representatives
  • Hosting press conferences and town hall meetings
  • Contributing articles to local publications

Judith Roes Hammerle

Communications Chair

With a background in psychology, Judith has a gift for bringing people together. She believes in building a big tent—where diverse perspectives can unite to advance progressive causes. She is deeply committed to social justice and safeguarding reproductive rights.

Sarah Clark

Treasurer

Sarah is a dedicated educator and long-time community organizer who champions equitable school funding and inclusive learning environments. She’s passionate about ensuring every student feels valued, supported, and welcome.

Susan Nichols

Daytime Group Co-Leader

Susan’s background is in social work, with experience as a therapist, community organizer, and activist. She’s passionate about human rights, social and economic justice, and protecting our democracy and the rule of law.

Denise Benjamin

State & National Liason

Denise brings a unique perspective to her activism, drawing on her experience as both a scientist and a minister. Passionate about protecting the natural world, she is a steadfast advocate for environmental stewardship and the preservation of America’s national parks.

Meg Hendrickson

Digital Marketing

Drawing on a background in digital marketing, Meg supports Lenawee Indivisible’s web presence and communications strategy. She’s driven by the belief that, despite our shortcomings, Americans must never stop working toward the founding ideal of a more perfect union.

IdalÍ  Feliciano

Daytime Group Co-Leader

Idalí has spent her life advancing social and economic justice, with a focus on underrepresented communities. She’s especially passionate about supporting children, youth, and those facing food insecurity.

Adrian Dominican Sisters

The Adrian Dominican Sisters is a Catholic religious institute dedicated to serving communities across 22 states and three countries. Their work encompasses education, healthcare, the arts, social work, environmental stewardship, and advocacy for peace and justice.

Citizens Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a dedicated climate change organization focused on fostering the political momentum needed to build a sustainable and livable planet. By empowering individuals to harness their personal and political influence, the organization drives meaningful breakthroughs in climate action.

Hope In Action

Hope In Action is a grassroots movement combining peaceful protest and community outreach to resist injustice, defend democracy, and rebuild hope for future generations. Driven by the belief that our democracy is under attack and human rights are non-negotiable, they stand up for the Constitution and envision a better future for all. Their ongoing Demonstrate & Donate events bring people together to raise their voices—and vital resources—for those in need.

League of Women Voters of Lenawee County

Established in 1920, the League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering American citizens through active participation in democracy. Its core initiatives focus on voter registration, delivering reliable voter education, encouraging higher voter turnout, and championing voting rights for all.

Lenawee Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition

A committed nonprofit organization focused on providing comprehensive vision, innovative leadership, and unwavering support to address and combat the pressing issue of human trafficking within Lenawee County. Through strategic collaboration and community-driven efforts, the organization strives to create lasting change.

LLEAD Adrian Chapter

Latino Leaders for the Enhancement of Advocacy and Development (LLEAD) empowers Latinx leaders and amplifies Michigan’s Latino voices. The Adrian chapter, LLEAD’s sixth in the state, drives civic engagement by promoting voter registration, leadership growth, cultural events, addressing education issues, fundraising for immigrant families, and advocating for mental health resources locally.

The M Society

The M Society is dedicated to enhancing the mental and physical well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals in Lenawee County. This is achieved through compassionate support services that promote personal wellness and impactful projects that foster community engagement and participation.

NAACP Lenawee County Branch

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is dedicated to securing political, educational, social, and economic equality for all individuals while striving to eradicate racial hatred and discrimination.

State Wide Indivisible Michigan

State Wide Indivisible Michigan (SWIM) is a grassroots coalition uniting Indivisible groups to amplify their collective voice, expand their influence, and strengthen their impact through shared actions and resources. Committed to standing in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, SWIM’s mission is to protect, defend, and advance the principles and institutions of democracy for everyone. As a statewide organization, SWIM serves as a vital resource, empowering local groups to achieve this mission.

Sunnyside Center For Peace & Justice

The Sunnyside Center is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Hispanic history and culture in Lenawee County and its surrounding areas. Through engaging classes, interactive workshops, community initiatives, and economic development efforts, the center empowers individuals to connect with this vibrant heritage.
