We all hoped NO KINGS would be big—but we had no idea it would be this big!
Together, Indivisible and its partners turned out more than five million people (and counting!) across 2,169 events in countries around the world. From small towns to major cities, we sent a clear message: this country belongs to the people—not to kings, billionaires, or dictators.
The folks at Indivisible HQ put together a highlight reel to demonstrate the massive scope of yesterday’s movement:
Quick content warning: The music is fantastic, but there’s a strong swear at the 6-second mark. If you or any kids in the room would like to avoid it, fast forward.
This is what democracy looks like!
Lenawee County SHOWED UP
In Adrian, we estimate that there were between 750 and 1,000 attendees—an incredible showing in a red and rural county. In Tecumseh, another 150 to 200 people came out strong.
That’s the power of people-led movements.
That’s the power of us.
If you took photos or videos and haven’t posted them yet, now’s the time! Tag them with #NoKings to keep the momentum going—and search that hashtag to see what your fellow activists around the world are sharing. And don’t forget to check out our Facebook group to see photos from our local events.

So…How do we keep this momentum going?

This is how we make real, meaningful change—by organizing where our voices matter most.
A Sobering Reminder
Even as we celebrate the hope and momentum of this weekend, we are reminded of the stakes.
On Saturday morning, Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed in a politically motivated assassination. And we’re tracking news of a shooting during a NO KINGS event in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Our hearts are with these communities.
This is the hate that our joy, our unity, and our courage must drown out.
Some of us have been in this fight for years. Some of us joined for the first time this weekend.
But all of us are here to build a future grounded in justice, dignity, and democracy.
Let’s keep going.
